Well now, what have we here? I may still be working on getting my groove back as far as new sketches go but this is one of a few I've been meaning to color for a long while now. The second panel was inspired by a scene in Pirates of Cabo Diablo (make sure you read Once a Pirate first!) and the fact that you can never have too many K&K hugs. Yes, I know it's "out of character" for the show but see the above links -- with the right story and a lot of character development -- it makes perfect sense.

I kept this in a "sketchy" style because there was so much raw emotion in the original sketch I was honestly afraid to touch it with ink pens. That doesn't mean it's an easier process, though. This took me several hours (over course of a few days) to color, layer and figure out a "background" of sorts. I wanted it to look darker with an ominous end-of-the-world type of feel.
