I've been meaning to submit this piece for some time now. ^^
You now what, from the fact that I using a pretty poor Youtube print-screen pic as a reference, I'm pretty proud of how this came out.
I've been wanting to draw Sephiroth for a long time now so this has final made up for the long wait.
I really am starting to like traditional art more and more now so I think I'm going to try and do more artwork that way instead of just relying on a lot of digital art.

If your referring to the game, (if I'm correct) His body ended up in a mako pit after cloud threw him into it during theΒ Nibelheim incidentΒ and it floated through the life steam until he settled in a cocoon at the Northern Crater for 5 years. Sephiroth was still controlling clones through Jenova. ... (I think this is right?)
Yeah VII's plot isn't the most easy to understand... its pretty messed up xD

Oh wow, this is really nice!! From the small pic I thought it was the screenshot at first, but up close I see that it's instead a beautiful and well-done painting of Sephiroth!!!

As much as I hate the villain!Sephiroth, I cant help but how when his wings folds out, his long silver hair flies out along with it too.

Oh yeah, pretty cool to see; must be because of the motion of the wing coming out, it stirs his hair too.
I find it interesting how he only has the wing in Advent Children, but not at all in Crisis Core, unlike Angeal and Genesis.

I what it would feel like if someone touched his wing, will it feel good to him? Especially if Cloud does it? Sorry, just curious.
The main reason why he doesn't show his wing in Crisis Core was because he just started being crazy evil before dying quickly.
Also, it was because he didn't go insane for much of the game while Genesis and Angeal did.

Well, I wouldn't really know. 
Could be; maybe he didn't even know how at the time. Funny how Genesis and Angeal do, but you're right, when Sephiroth goes crazy he ends up dying shortly afterwards, so no time for him to really awaken that part of himself, possibly. If Cloud didn't strike him down when he did, who knows, maybe Sephiroth would've brought his wing out and flown off with Jenova or something.

One thing I notice about this screen shot in particular, there's not a lot of 're-drawn' artwork of it. I think that's why I wanted to paint it so badly. XD The hair was actually the most difficult part of the whole picture. Because his hair is long, its difficult to draw entire strands with ought the lines being wobbly or unbalanced.

Exactly!! That's also another (completely biased) reason I love this picture you've painted.
Because the longer you draw (or paint) a line, the harder it is to keep it looking mooth and like actual hair. That's where an eraser comes in handy!

It actually took me about a week to do (about two whole days on the week end and every afternoon during the week) so yeah, it took quite a long time but when it comes to painting something I'm inspired by, time tends to lead itself and I can keep painting for days on end with-ought even realizing it. XD
So I guess it took me 30+ or something hours to do overall, I'm not entirely sure as I spend a lot of time just looking at the picture to see how I can adjust it at all.
