Description When my hubby and myself were at the Tilgate Nature Centre in Crawley, we saw a tapir in the alpaca enclosure. My hubby took a picture of it and the alpacas, so I decided to draw one too.

Tapirs are a large herbivorous mammal that are a similar size and shape to a pig, with a short prehensile trunk. They're native to the forests of tropical South America and south-east Asia. All the species are endangered due to loss of habitat and slow reproduction rates.
