Description

So... my DnD party got lost and looked for a place to sleep as the night got them. They found a ridiculously small cave and... just crammed into it to sleep. The picture was crystal clear in my head and I just HAD to draw them. (They also happened to be carrying around a cursed dagger, so they had an uncomfortable encounter with it trying to posess a party member while in there... and... then they went right back to sleep. Sometimes I'm too kind to them... or am a I ;D!)

By the way I'm both really happy, but also pretty unsatisfied with this drawing. I quite love the linework. It came to me naturally and I'm very pleased with the poses and the composition of the whole thing. The coloring... not so much. I wanted to do something as synthetic and defined as the linework is, but I kinda ended up making this... colorful and all over the place thing. I mean, I love colorful, but I wish I could have found a nice balanced palette to render the lightning. So the coloring turned out way too detailed and not nearly as clean as it was supposed to be. I don't think what I wanted is something I *can* actually make right now, so I decided to just get it done and put it out, anyway. Mostly because, as I said, I quite like the piece overall. It's been a long time since the last time I made something quite so involved, so yeah! Lots of characters! An actual scene! It's a nice feeling to still be able to do something like this !
