Animation: (A+) If there's one way to describe the animation, it's that it's very well done . Then again, with Titmouse at the helm, it's not much of a surprise. There's a very strong color palette and a nice blend of ancient Egyptian architecture with a modern sci fi design. The action scenes are also incredibly fluid , all helped by the dynamic character designs and use of large camera angles.

Characters: (A+) The characters we have are all top notch. We have the teenage Cleopatra, who's hot headed, impulsive, and self centered. She's also a brave and loyal person who will do anything to protect those she loves. Akila is an alien fish girl who's cute and spunky, and is also quite intelligent. She's also very prone to following protocol yet can be quite rebellious. Brian himself is a nerdy cyborg who's socially awkward, yet he's also got a great deal of common sense and compassion. Kenshu is a talking cat who's essentially the leader of the group and a teacher at PYRAMID. He's tough but fair and has his cute moments. We also get a great supporting cast. For example, Octavian, the villain of the series, is like Darkseid in his quest to take over the universe for peace purposes, being very ruthless, yet also quite funny at times. We also have Administrator Khepra, who's in charge of PYRAMID. She's also tough yet fair, though with an interesting secret. We also have Callie, a snobby mean girl who's envious of Cleo inadvertently stealing her thunder, though she becomes a bit nicer in later episodes. We also have Xiad, a pretty boy who worked for Octavian, yet cares for Cleo and wants to be reunited with his parents. There's also the pharoah Yosira, who's actually quite sweet and endearing despite her royalty status. She's also very astute and has the drive to learn. This show just has top notch characters.

Writing: (A+) The writing on the show is great. With Cleo accidentally being transported 30,000 years into the future, she stays with Akila and Brian at PYRAMID, a boarding school with everyone training in combat, on the planet Mayet. She also has to fulfill the prophecy where she's said to be the savior of the Nile Galaxy. As such, her arc is about how she has to be a good leader and better person, all the while fulfilling her destiny. That is pretty epic. The inclusion of school related stories, sci fi elements , and various monstrous creatures helps ground the show in some kind of reality, yet also consistently remind you of the stakes at play here. Each episode helps heighten the stakes and strengthen Cleo's relationships with others, telling an overarching story with episodes that are easy to follow her offer plenty of surprises. Even with all this, the humor is very on point. There's a heavy emphasis on slapstick, witty and awkward dialogue, and even some toilet humor. It works given how the characters often question why these things happen, yet hardly dwell on it.

Music: (A+) The music for this series is top notch. It's composed by Ryan Lofty & Jay Vincent. They're best known for their work on Lego Ninjago, Harvey Girls Forever, and Fast And Furious Spy Racers. While I haven't seen much of the first, what I have definitely gives off a nice cultural vibe that's reflected well in the music, much like here. Musical influence from the second has that modern day attitude that's woven well into the soundtrack. As for the third, there's this fast energy and high tech beat that's intertwined into the show's DNA. In short, it's just really catchy.

Enjoyment: (A+) This show is just great. It has fast and fluid animation with a colorful art style and unique designs. The characters are all layered and entertaining. The writing is very strong, being story driven yet with a great sense of humor. The music sucks you in. I recommend it.
