This is a little fuzzy. The photo depicts the Diamond being split by the Lead Solo passing through the formation. Notice the diamond is "dirty" (gear down) which forces the formation to go slow as the solo passes at 450, 500 knots. Of course, the solo is flying off the wing of the formation and not actually going through it because the solo looks smaller than the rest of the flight...Related content

No, I really don't take a lot of military photos. Most of my work is drawn. It's the first time I've posted jet fighter photos here. I was hoping on going to see the Blue Angels, but I have to wait until they arrive at Virginia Beach....
