Self explanatory. This is actually a year old- I only did the shading early this morning when I was having a double cheeseburger at Denny's.

I wanted to try my hand at some fanart and I loved the Robotech series, the Macross Saga in particular. It may not have been as smooth and polished as SDFMYRL I am enamored with the story regardless.

This is of course, Miriya Sterling of the Robotech Defense Force. In the series she was a member of the Zentraedi Fleet commanded by Azonia. Miriya was a remarkable pilot and lived only for the battle- it gave her a high and it also allowed her to wonder if there was anyone who could best her. Leave it to a "Micronian-" Max Sterling, a soft-spoken and modest genius of a pilot. I want to interject that Max is atypical of most pilots; they have big egos with the bravado and arrogance to match. Pilots like Roy Fokker are typical pilots. Anyway, Max is the only pilot who could best her in the skies- and she decides to help the defenders and point out a technique which would cripple the battle pods and not kill the pilots. Her help and her eventual marriage to Sterling would establish a peace treaty between humans and the Zentraedi...
