"Hey! Hey- you, yes, you!" Alina stopped, because the other girl wore an officer's top. The officer strode up to Alina, sizing her up. "I haven't seen you before- and believe me, I'd have noticed you."
Alina smiled, and looked as demure as she could. "Oh! Well, yeah. Our unit just got in yesterday, you know, for the..." The officer smiled. "Right. Well, you know our role in all of this- just look pretty and official and we'll get a nice little commendation. The real troopers...well, they're out of sight for now."
Alina nodded, playing the enthused rookie. The officer looked Alina up and down again. "I hope to see you again, maybe after the transfer's all done...maybe we could have a drink together?" "Oh sure, I'd like that!", said Alina. She relaxed and gave a sultry look. The officer's pupils dilated as she took in the sight of the pretty brunette.
Alina's mind was racing though. Other troopers? Real troopers? With guns? Oxy and Cait were busy dismantling the base security piece by piece, but if there were actual fighters here...the plan could all fall apart.
