Description Finally sorted out the composition and finished it.

Ebony pencil on Bristol - original size: 11 x 14 inches

Finally broke down and bought an electric eraser. I can't see HOW I ever managed without one before! I highly recommend it as a drawing tool!

Yeup, an electric eraser. I got mine at Office Depot. Inexpensive and works like a champ! I still can't believe I went so long without one!

really nice one. You've really created something magnificant here.

You've also opened my eyes to something I had never thought about....an....ELECTRIC....eraser?! I must get one NOW!

Thank you!

Heh, I know what you mean. I kept reading all these different drawing books and online tutorials that mentioned using an electric eraser, so I finally broke down and got one. I picked mine up at Office Depot (along with an extra package of eraser refills) and can't believe I ever lived without it!

Lovely stuff, 'tis! All the different textures you incorporated work together nicely, and all the detail work is staggering. I particularly like the fact that you worked veins onto the membrane of this creature's wing.

Much love in general to this, kudos to ye.

Wow. Your work has been getting progressively better. With every new deviation I see by you, I can see new skills that you're trying, new advances, etc. The amount of detail in this picture is phenomenal. My favourite is the tree in the background. Whilst not artistic and so not in a position to judge, I think the whiteness of the beach? by the creature is a little unclear. It took me a while to work out what it was.

But, who cares? It is one of your best pieces yet, and I absolutely love it! Thank you!

Thanks Means a lot to me that people can see my work is improving.

Err... it's not beach, it's sea spray from the waves breaking against the cliff. The trees in the background were actually more difficult than you might think. I had to juggle their values just right to get the proper atmospheric perspective.

Thanks!

The wings were a real pain in the butt. If you look in my scraps, you'll see the growing pains I had with this piece. I'm very pleased with the end result, though
