Description
I was greatly inspired by the recent works of ~JinYaranda , and especially this one: [link]I've tried to draw something dynamic before, but I failed. This time, I've tried to start with the line of action, and it magically worked! I don't know why I didn't use it before, but it turned out to be pretty easy and fun to draw this way. Gah, I'm so excited I just don't know what else to say!

Great use of the action line! I think I remembered it subconsciously but meh, forgot about it 'til now basically~ You can definitely sense the movement of Celestia here. The style differences to help focus the shot on Celestia, soft lines, strong+appropriate shading/lighting, the magic effect done simple (yet allows it to not to take away any focus) - altogether makes the drawing amazing
Just as strong as your lineless style, I really love how your outline style looks!
Out of curiosity, what's your own opinion between the two styles? (Difficulty and visual appeal)

Thank you! As you can probably tell, I couldn't choose one style over the other even in this one picture. I've seen many amazing examples of using either of them and I can't decide which I like more. Drawing with an outline is probably easier because I don't have to worry about differentiation of the adjacent parts. Visually separating for example the leg from the body using shadow or highlight is difficult for me. I don't think it's possible for me to paint Celestia here without the outline. Plus, black and white placed between the other colors add some nice contrast. But on the other hand, I can't work with the outlines good enough, too. I couldn't draw a proper background, and it was easier to paint the monster right away rather than outline it first.

Pretty damn amazing. Not sure how, but you're improving at quite a rate.
Though I think it could use some darker shading on Celestia. Especially with how dark the ground shadow is and the general darkness theme.

Thanks! Anatomy here is wrong in many ways, but still, I'm pretty happy with what I'm doing. And I definitely need to read those books on color theory... I just don't get it.
