Description
Still doing the exercises standing, which increases the swing of the arm and cuts down on the finer movement of fingers. The result is I tend to draw bigger, which becomes problematic when I run out of space. Compounding that I have the jitters - adrenalin dumps - over potential civil litigation (mine). Talk about loss of fine motor control! Haha. That's the first thing to go when the adrenalin kicks in. But all that's just an excuse for not performing to standard and doesn't wash, because if I were concentrating, I wouldn't be thinking self-critically as I'm performing. And I know I'm being self-critical when I start crossing out, trying to hide the "bad" ones from discerning eyes . . . like mine. I'm my worst critic. And that's good when it's compartmentalized. When it's left unchecked, it becomes destructive perfectionism. NO CROSS-OUTS in timed interval gesture drawing. It's bad. Don't do it.Related content
