Description
Drawing standing at the Cintiq required some adaptation that involved changing the angle of my eyes to the monitor and the Cintiq. Initially, the sketches showed a distortion of perspective for which I could not account, except as the result of lack of concentration. But then I realized that I had not accounted for the fact that in the new position, I was nolonger looking perpendicularly to either the monitor or the Cintiq - double whammy in favor of distortion. Once I made the adjustment the figure proportions improved noticeably. I still had to adjust my schedule to allow me to approach the exercise with calm deliberation, not just fitting it in between things on the list of TODOs. Typically, we address priorities in the first hours of the day. What we do first after waking expresses what we value most. Those are the things for which we harbor enthusiasm and find natural, rewarding reinforcement - another way of saying, "fun."Related content
