Description
I wanted to create skyrim environments long time ago but I didnt had the time. However, I dont play the game anymore I made it anyway because skyrim landscapes are amazing. I might start playing again when Dragornborn comes out though.
I didnt wanted to make it look exactly like in the game, but its very close, I think you will recognize the place anyway (if you played the game). One of my favorite places in Skyrim so far.
Made and rendered in Vue, minor postwork in PS CS5.

i almost thought it was a sceenshot. But i looked closer and saw all the greatness an time you put into this piece. Saying it's amazing falls short of what it is but, but I dont knw what to say other than that.

I like how there is an immediate mood/atmosphere set. Β I've never played "Skyrim", but from what I've seen and heard about it, it looks like this piece could fit in that world. Β Nice work!

Ha. I happen to be playing that right now. In fact, I just got to Solitude the day you posted this.
Great work as usual. The only thing that bugs me are the posts on the pier and those yellow things on top. Is it supposed to be metal? Doesn't look right in two ways: first, it would have to be really, really, painfully yellow to stand out that way in such a hazy weather, and second, a thing made of metal (and for that matter, a thing made of pretty much anything) wouldn't keep its color and shine for long next to salty water.
This detail is the only thing that betrays the picture as a render. Everything else is fantastic.

Now that you said it.... yeah, it stands a bit too much. I dont know how they turned out that yellow. I destatured the colors of the materials on the pier...looks like i have to do it in post..

It would be cool if you added the giant windmill later on. Very unique piece and instant fave my man. Keep up the good work. Are you going to try Cyrodiil out soon? I would love to see the great forest or Chorrol.
