I made this almost a year ago and only got around to posting it. Not very original, I know. I'm currently working with more traditional stuff and getting around to drawing portraits instead of the same forest thing. There is a lot I wish I could change but I don't care about it anymore. This is not a very good reflection of my current skills but I've gotten into a stage of reflective learning where I don't feel comfortable with posting more recent stuff. Mostly posting because people think that "pixel art isn't art" and "all you do is pixel art that's not real you still can't even draw" yeah okay.ΒI wouldn't bother faving unless you actually like it and not because I'm popular. Oh fuck. Also this was made in gimp because my school didn't allow any other painting programs.Β

Honestly, I think your pixel art is just as good. Its still considered art even if some might not agree.Β

Hey, anime trash here who occasionally draws realism.
I just wanted to say I really love the yellow contrasting to the green, giving the scene an idyllic feeling and the hard-surfaced edges make one think there's a story of overgrown bunkers or something! A big fan of the textured feel too! Also, if you ever feel like posting pixel art, you should. It's definitely an art hard to master. I honestly wish I was better at it.
I recently learnt something from a Chinese artist, if you want to try. He only uses RGB, no levels or curves. I would definitely recommend it, it has made my portraits come so much more to life 
P.s don't mind the picture too much, they were rather hastily made. I swear you don't want to see my realism from 6 months ago.Β
