I made this almost a year ago and only got around to posting it. Not very original, I know. I'm currently working with more traditional stuff and getting around to drawing portraits instead of the same forest thing. There is a lot I wish I could change but I don't care about it anymore. This is not a very good reflection of my current skills but I've gotten into a stage of reflective learning where I don't feel comfortable with posting more recent stuff. Mostly posting because people think that "pixel art isn't art" and "all you do is pixel art that's not real you still can't even draw" yeah okay.ΒI wouldn't bother faving unless you actually like it and not because I'm popular. Oh fuck. Also this was made in gimp because my school didn't allow any other painting programs.Β

Being honest here, I really love this image. The environment has a sort of feel, kind of like felt, which really interests me. The only issue I have is the geometric shapes in this image, I mean, what is it supposed to be, rocks? Either way, I would give a 7/10, maybe closer to an 8, but a 7 feels right to me.

There needs to be more detail on the trees in the back but other than that is is great! can't wait to see it when it is done

For this piece, I will criticize with very minimal bias as possible (since I get drawn to this kind of art for obvious reasons). I absolutely love the use of colours and the shading makes it look almost realistic while still having that surreal feeling to it. The lighting is quite good and shows the stone block in the middle very well. Some things that need work are making the lighting less bright and actually get around to finishing this piece to mark out any mistakes you've made in the process of it so far. Put some lighting in the background too to make it more realistic.
Overall this maybe an old piece but it's very good for something from the past! Do work on it again, my dude! Even if you get frustrated with it. Art is meant to help you get out negative feelings!

Genuine criticism, I really love the use of colors in this piece. Even as old art, I can see the effort that went behind this, something not very many artists dare to show in the form of talent. Pixel art is a form of art that takes a different technique to master, and though this may be far from perfect, it still has more potential to be considered impressive than some may want to admit. There's depth, shading, a clear sense of mood and tone with the atmosphere, and the focal point emphasizes well. Did I go overboard with my heartfelt criticism? Maybe, but I like it. I'm favoriting it because I like it.

This is a really beautiful piece regardless of your popularity, the brush used for this gives the painting a very--soft and smooth impression. I'm also liking how the light immediately directs our eyes towards the center.Β Β

That's a really soothing piece and I really appreciate your work on textures, such as grass and rocks, for someone who struggles to make these look natural this is really inspiring!
I guess the only elements that makes the piece incomplete are the trees in the background, but really I like it even as such! You're really good at drawing these forest landscapes. I remember you drawing a more desertic environment with rocks and mountains which I really liked, but really wish I'd see canyons, toundras and subaquatic landscapes drawn by you. Just a thought tho.
