I made this almost a year ago and only got around to posting it. Not very original, I know. I'm currently working with more traditional stuff and getting around to drawing portraits instead of the same forest thing. There is a lot I wish I could change but I don't care about it anymore. This is not a very good reflection of my current skills but I've gotten into a stage of reflective learning where I don't feel comfortable with posting more recent stuff. Mostly posting because people think that "pixel art isn't art" and "all you do is pixel art that's not real you still can't even draw" yeah okay.ΒI wouldn't bother faving unless you actually like it and not because I'm popular. Oh fuck. Also this was made in gimp because my school didn't allow any other painting programs.Β

Your pixel art is absolutely wonderful though! People who state that pixel art isn't an art are about as silly and someone who says that digital art isn't real art. I've been dying to see any recent works of your art and this is beautiful! I understand if you aren't comfortable with posting but just remember that there are people like me who really appreciate your drawings <3Β
Also in regards to this drawing - I really enjoy the attention to detail in terrain becoming more prevalent when it's under the light source, I would love to try that some day! I may be over-analyzing but I definitely like the contrast of having the sharp rocks be the center around the soft textures/light source.

Dang son, this is so pretty! I see what you mean by incomplete, but I gotta say that the forest floor is my favorite part here. Great lighting and interesting textures. I feel like if I were to try and walk here Iβd fall in a hole and break my ankle.

Well, I mean, I think it looks good. I love the coloring and the shading; it's very soothing and easy on the eyes. The texture of the moss is a bit odd - seems weirdly fuzzy - but other than that, I think this looks fine. Also, pixel art is 100% art, those people who say it isn't are heckin meanies that don't deserve to be on your good Christian art page

white the textures on the moss/grass are a bit fuzzy and odd, the lighting is so nice

Really good use of lighting here. I especially like the rock near the hole in the lower left center. It looks like you paid a lot of attention to detail there and looks great.
Also, using blue or purple tones in the darker areas can help convey more depth and feeling in contrast to the light and can help you go darker in with shadows without going full on black. Overall, nice piece!
