Just a quick Space Ghost redesign for the heck of it. It's really quite impossible to improve or rather do justice to the OG design by Toth. ..but I tried nonetheless.*EDIT* 3/31/13-added a side view in hopes that might do this as a 3D model!

Thank you very much, I was really pleased with this, one of the rare times that I was able to capture the exact image I had in my thoughts and put it down on paper...or in this case on a cintiq!

I really love this!!!
But a few detail changes: keep his original mask, makes him human/ humane.
But maybe that's the non-human effect your going for.
2nd: Maybe a starfield pattern within the black, stemming from the torso down the body.
But leave the arms as black solid.

I like some of the suggestions, I might do an alt view at some point incorporating your ideas.
As for the mask I was going a little more for the fear factor....but I always figured when he was alone or with his companions the mask might retract to expose his face like the more classic version.Β

SG is after all this time a classic spacehero character that's never far out from fan's thoughts.
Makes me now think about Marvel's classic "StarLord" from the 70's.

Yes, I agree he looks a bit sinister, hopefully more to the bad guys...when he's not trying to frighten them I'd like to think when he has his cowl off he'd look more the hero!
