Oh yeah, a MERP/Rolemaster campaign, gotta love it! I'm between ones right now, but I am doing well. The Rider looks tough and accomplished. He also seems to have picked up some interesting gear in his adventures, too.

Yep, he made some very good picks.
In this final version when we ended up the (24-months+ spanning) campaign he was 14th level and carried a +30 spear, +30 longsword with additional Electricity criticals, +40 full helm of dwarven made and a magic war hammer, Meteor, which bursted into flames when thrown.

Wow, 24 months, that one was suitably epic! Yeah, a Rolemaster character who survived those lengthy adventures would be kitted out in a most heroic manner. And as the GM, one feels a need to really present the mighty items in a way that makes the players not feel jaded, that their characters have acquired unique & meaningful items that make identify them as Heroes. It's not always easy!
