I only just recently started reading Death Note, now I see what all the hype is about, it's really good!Ryuk amuses me. X)
These chibis were made for buttons for Anime Central 2009 this past weekend (there's a Misa one too!). I colored them so large I was able to make a print out of 'em. ^__^

Ryuk is so adorable! <3 Glad you didn't let the fandom keep you away from reading the series! I know I kinda stopped reading it for awhile after I got half way through it (without giving away spoilers I felt the fifth book kinda bored me and turned me off from the series for a bit...I guess)

Oie! I loved deathnote so much just from the anime, so I read the manga (exactly the same, prolly wouldn't have been if I did it the other way around!) and searched the far reaches of the internet for the movies and watched them. I lurves it all.

Death Note is one of my favourite dramatic series, but I really enjoy seeing a light-hearted rendition of the main trio. Nice job!

Even though i haven't read the manga or seen the animΓ©, i really like this piece. The drawing style you work with is very Eastern in feel, and you clearly have a talent for detailing work. As for the colouring, well... off the chain. Off the chain. Bold, vivid, and so professional looking... you clearly deserve the 120,000 or so pageviews you have.
