My newest manga obsession. I didn't expect to love it as much as I do because of the morbid theme... but then it just becomes enthralling. There's so much depth and brilliance to this series and the characters. It makes me think of Bleach (the punkish style), Jigoku Shojo (Hell Girl - the morbid power of death & choices), and Spiral (battle of wits) combined...
My interest was perked about finding out about the movie coming out that Warner Bros. Japan division is doing. The effects and style looks really impressive so I'm dying to see it! It should be coming out in Japanese theatres in June. (ah if only I were there) So I started reading the manga the other night and am starting on volume 3. I finally understand the whole apple thing

I'm an L fan myself, but my best friend loves Raito best too. ^_^ So they both get lot of love from me. I bought her the Nendoroid chibi-looking figuring of Raito for Christmas.

Hah well I have a fondness for evil characters portrayed as cute chibis XD I think I'd chibify anyone. I "chibified" Jiraya once from Naruto and actually pulled it off o.O I'd happily turn anyone into a chibi though.
Hmn... Dunno really. Haven't read too much after the 7th book *sniff*. Looks and outward personality wise kinda like Misa (I cosplayed her once). L in terms of sweets and sense of justice (not Light's whacked out God complex XD).

Awesome! Some of the greatest chibis are the ones who were never meant to be cute. But yeah, i gotta say, you pull it off really well.
Lol Misa! Awesome. I hate though, the way that it portrays the females in there though, i mean look at every girl in DN, see any strong-willed, really good characters? Yeah, me neither. mmmm......sweets. And I kinda sit the same way as L does as well. not nearly as strict though, with his face kinda forward, i just like to have my feet up on the chair as well, so not really the same way ^_^ just similar. HAHA yeah, whacked out god complex for me!
As for the books....I don't read 'em. I watch the anime, don't have the books (in fact, I own all of TWO (count 'em, two) manga comics) sad eh?
(So glad i can actually talk about DN with someone else, no one else i know has any clue what i'm on about!) Okay, next question. If you had a Death Note, what would you do with it? I'd probably use it like Light did, but not to the same extent. I mean, yeah sure, there are some people who'd be better off dead, but not all criminals deserve to die. There are some other people though.....

Eh I don't think I could stand the thought of being the cause of someone's death unless it was saving my or someone else's life. I'd probably try and bury it in a safe place or something XD It would freak me out and I wouldn't want anyone bad to find it.

Fair enough. If I found one, I wouldn't be senseless with it. I've already got some things in mind for my safekeepings (A little secret, not as complex as Light's yet, but still quite good. No gasoline though, awww). But I'd definately keep some with me, in case it was needed.
But for the love of god, Rule no. 1 of the death note is:
Don't mistake a page for regular paper and start an assignment on it!
