Wahahaha! Happy Easter everybody! XDI randomly decided tonight that Rainbow Brite needed a makeover! Weee! Not anything too drastic, I just wanted to grow her up and prod her out of the 80's a bit. I loved Rainbow Brite as a little girl, though she really does rather resemble a scary baby doll! XD That's frightening! Why am I using so many exclamation points!

But yeah, somehow she reminds me of Sailor Moon now, probably because she embodies so many wonderfully girlish notions like love and happiness will solve everything, and 'cause of the ubercute outfits. I actually stayed rather close to the original outfit, only modifying the parts that would make her look more physically mature. Like those boots. Dang those are some fabulous boots. My roommate said so. Waaah somebody quick make this into an anime! *falls over*

Very nice. I've never seen a re-vamp of Rainbow Brite quite as original as this one... true story: I know the entire theme song by heart... it scares my co-workers.

I recently started collecting my friends in tattoos to remember them when I move out of state. My friend Googled RainbowBrite and got this image. I wanted you to know it was used and I pay credit to your work when I posted the pic on my blog. My tattoo artist loved it as much as we did. Great work. My apologies for not seeking permission first. It was spur of the moment and unknown until today.

You know, Rainbow Brite looks so much better as an anime magical girl ^^
And if it was as an action series with magical girls like Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha... some sort of Magical Girl Rainbow Brite... it would be so kickass.

I always felt that the concept of Rainbow Brite was more befitting of an anime than an 80's American cartoon.
This redesign is splendid. I am faving it.

The only DVD that was released of Rainbow Brite, was the movie that was released in theaters back in the 80's.
It was called "Rainbow Brite & the Star Stealer. Its not easy to find now, but when I seen it in Wal-Mart one day, I just had to grab it before it was gone. ^^
Nice rendition of RB btw. Nicely done. I had thought about redesigning some of the old 80's cartoon characters that were my faves. But, I haven't gotten to that point yet ^^()

I love it, so cute, I tried to do something simillar once but failed misserabley.... but you did so well. I'm surpirsed it's not an anime, though it was aired in Japan.... they should make it an anime like they did the powerpuff girls. Anyway, very cute!
