Wahahaha! Happy Easter everybody! XDI randomly decided tonight that Rainbow Brite needed a makeover! Weee! Not anything too drastic, I just wanted to grow her up and prod her out of the 80's a bit. I loved Rainbow Brite as a little girl, though she really does rather resemble a scary baby doll! XD That's frightening! Why am I using so many exclamation points!

But yeah, somehow she reminds me of Sailor Moon now, probably because she embodies so many wonderfully girlish notions like love and happiness will solve everything, and 'cause of the ubercute outfits. I actually stayed rather close to the original outfit, only modifying the parts that would make her look more physically mature. Like those boots. Dang those are some fabulous boots. My roommate said so. Waaah somebody quick make this into an anime! *falls over*

I was researching on google for reference and got several pics of the horse. It seems he has a star on his forehead but no horn? ?? But yeah, that would be fun to do a pic of her riding him! I'd be so tempted to design a colorful saddle. XD

The horse's name was Starlight, not SwiftWind, and he wasn't a unicorn. XD He was simply the most maaarvelous horse in the universe! XD XD I loved this show as a kid. Always wanted to do an adult Rainbow Brite pic. Good job Erica!
