Wahahaha! Happy Easter everybody! XDI randomly decided tonight that Rainbow Brite needed a makeover! Weee! Not anything too drastic, I just wanted to grow her up and prod her out of the 80's a bit. I loved Rainbow Brite as a little girl, though she really does rather resemble a scary baby doll! XD That's frightening! Why am I using so many exclamation points!

But yeah, somehow she reminds me of Sailor Moon now, probably because she embodies so many wonderfully girlish notions like love and happiness will solve everything, and 'cause of the ubercute outfits. I actually stayed rather close to the original outfit, only modifying the parts that would make her look more physically mature. Like those boots. Dang those are some fabulous boots. My roommate said so. Waaah somebody quick make this into an anime! *falls over*

I love what you've done. You kept her like she is, only grown up. I loved her hasa kid too. I just hope they don't mess her up like they did the Popples, My Little Ponies and Strawberry Shortcake.

Whoa!!! You know, I kept trying to figure out what Rainbow Brite was....and then it hit me!!! I think it used to come on the Disney channel years ago, when Care Bears and that weird Alice in Wonderland show used to come on. I vaguely remember the show....I used to love it. ^^ Lol, though, if you look me now and what I love to draw, Rainbow Brite's too girly for me...Then again, I love Sailor Moon....Awesome, awesome picture!!

I had this EXACT Same idea.. but totally messed it up...
I had an idea for grown up Stormy too but I made the pose too "sexy" and threw it out..
It was just to wierd to see Stormy all grown up and acting play boyish.

Awesome! I love this. I've always wanted to draw Brite as grown up or teenaged! I also think of Brite as kinda the Sailor Moon of the 80's, because they stood for the same things. You should draw her horse as well, Starlite and Twink, don't forget Twink!
