Tokyopop asked if I and other creators wanted to do fanart pinups for the next volume of Return to Labyrinth, the manga version of the movie from Jim Hensen. So of course I said yes.I decided to center mine around the romantic feel from the dance scenes both in the movie and the first manga volume. That and fairies. I wanted to draw fairies. I like fairies. That poor fairy with her wings torn off....
I can't wait to see the others.

Beautiful picture. I have to be honest that I HATED the manga (I feel that it's a rip off compared to the movie), but this is still just awe-striking.

Ah, when will they come out, I have noooooo idea, but only because I haven't heard news on that specific title. Unfortunately I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for future volumes, the publisher is fighting bankruptcy at the moment and had to cancel like most of their titles or something. (I hate to be the bearer of bad news...)

I have been really close to buying this series just 'cause I adore Jim Henson's work and the movie for that matter. Thing is, countinuing stories like that tend to get on my nerves, BUT I dearly love my Jareth.... *drama queens incomprehensibly*
all the same, I really like how you tied so much into this one picture. All the details on the fairies make them all the more enchanting. I also love the bubble in the middle. An Jareth is lookin' good and schmexy XD

I actually own it . If you want to get I suggest looking at Chapters in the Teen Manga section. The even have a tribute to the first time you see Hoggle inthe movie in the form of a fountain outside the Labyrinth in the Book.
