no, he's a character from a comic book Paul Pope is working on called Battling Boy.
he's one of my favourite comic artist ever.
it hasn't come out yet, but he's been talking it up for a few years
it got picked up by the publisher firstsecond books, and has been optioned for a movie.
it's wonderfully simplistic in concept, he's just a kid god fighting monsters,
and he gets his crazy henshin powers from a bunch of magical tshirts, each with different animal avatars on them.
it's everything i wish Goblyn could be. XD
seriously, when i heard the premise i was kicking myself for a day for not making the connection between
jack kirby's new gods, kamen rider and the old cartoon shirt tales.
it looks like it's going to be a lot of fun, and PP does really good comics with super solid stories.

That might be a neat idea for your logic smiths. A ability that alternately far enhances speed strength durability but only in turns lest it tears the body apart.

it works that way in myth of eustro (the other story i plan on doing)

i'm not completely sure what the extent of BB's powers are since the title hasn't come out yet.
i'm really curious if he transforms fully or just uses the powers of the different magical shirt animals.
