Reploids haven't been in this world long enough. In the cusp of a new world, they co-exist with mankind toe to toe to win their right of existing in the same place as we do.

But the question is, what if they don't want to share?

A reploid named Alpha answered that question with blood red letters.
Human citizens of Abel City learned to fear the night once again as not even the everlasting and blinding nights of the neon city could bring them comfort.
Gutted, dismembered deformed corpses started appearing throughout the streets, alleyways and apartments of the never-sleeping megalopolis everytime the moon shone above it. The media dubbed the culprit ''The Moon Ripper''.
The police took hard measures when they found out that Alpha, a once peaceful reploid created by the acclaimed roboticist Janos Mészáros was the one responsible, as he ran amok and declared himself superior over mankind.

People were rightfully afraid after this. They realized their mistake of giving beings far more powerful and intelligent than them the miracle of free will.
Dr. Cain, creator of reploids, fought against wind and fire to ensure the future of his offspring. He founded the Maverick Hunters, a reploid-only organization to ensure any revolt against humanity wouldn't go unpunished.

While the humans were appeased, reploids wanted to oppose to the overly strict new administration. Many riots took in place to let the world know they weren't slaves, but companions. Every little flame of opposition was succesfully turned off.

Two years later, all things seemed to go back into place.
Everyone cheerfully awarded the Maverick Hunter project and Commander Sigma's efforts for taking Abel City under their wing.
Maybe peace can be reached between both species after all...

... Considering closed wounds couldn't be cut open back again.

Something or someone is leaving its bloody mark over all the Districts, targetting human beings.

Reploids believe someone is finally standing up for them, if not for the fact that reploids are amongst the body stack too.

Could they finally set their differences apart to hunt down the shadow of the moon that looms over them?

Regardless of their decision, one thing is certain: The night will fall upon Abel City.
