A slight re-design for X's civillian form in Slasher Moon , as well as an update to his story in this AU, which is based on his Irregular's Report version:

Like its canon counterpart, X is the blueprint for a race of sentient artificial entitys known as ''Reploids''.

Having laid dormant inside a capsule for about 100 years, X was found by the roboticist Arioch Cain at the depths of a buried lab that once belonged to the legendary ''Father of Robotics'' Dr. Thomas Light.

With an extremely advanced and complex structure, X showcased a numerous variable of hidden abilities that not even a skilled scientist like Cain could fully comprehend. But what truly made him special was his personality; traits that weren't just programmed and that belonged specifically to him and no one else.

Cain would spent half of his lifetime trying to replicate these characteristics into a creation of his own; a Reploid named ''Alpha'' which proved to be an absolute success.

The creation of Reploids helped a pariah like Arioch Cain into becoming the founder of a new age of progress that proudly started in the megalopolis of Abel City. Suddenly, every scientist would rush into studying the new Reploids field in a race for who would be the next one to get their names in the books.

45 years after his discovery, X was finally awoken into this new world unbeknownst to his true origins. Cain was astonished into seeing him interact with humans and other reploids. Without hesitation, he offered himself to assist the senior doctor in his lab without being told, without any human input specifically ordering him to comply. When debating, he would oftenly lead the conversation and even decide which topic would they be discussing next. Even something as mundane as cracking jokes between lines gave him a realism that Cain hasn't been able to mimic yet. X was not behaving like just a human replica, you could feel his newborn soul inside just by being close to him. It was like Dr. Light was teaching Cain from the afterlife into how truly recreate the human heart and put it inside an artificial body.

But the lingering dangers of recreating the human mind is that it comes with two certain possibilities: The infinite ability for the good, the unselfishness and the righteous, and the endless creativity for destruction, mayhem and malevolence.

The night of July 1st of 21XX, just 2 years after X's awakening would make humankind change its views about Reploids forever as The Moon Ripper started its killing spree across all the districts in Abel City.

Although its identity was never determined, the chief of the ACPD Heinrich Kaiser pinned the murders onto a Reploid individual due to the ridiculously short span of time between each killing in a single night; no human being could possibly pull that stunt.

And just as soon as it started, the fever for the Reploids research field would fall flat as several laws were instated to hinder their production and more were created to make them less and less autonomous.
Of course, Reploids weren't happy with this, with some rebelling against their creators to ensure the future of their own kind, even resorting to terror tactics that harmed both sides. These type of dangerous individuals were deemed as ''Mavericks'', and proved to be too much for the weak police department of Abel City.

Dr. Cain offered to make its own police force conformed entirely of Reploids to solve this problem, and despite his reputation being tarnished, it was given the greenlight by the government with positive results.

X, with its kindful heart kept a low profile during all these events, not being able to comprehend the chaos and death he was being submitted to. It was only so long since he was activated and suddenly he was surrounded by extreme acts of violence that defied his beliefs in the future of humanity, Reploids, and even himself.
He sought comfort with Alpha and Cain, the only individuals he could ever see as a ''family''. Arioch feared X eventually would lose his faith in humanity, and sought to teach him that for every darkest night, there would be brighter stars.

Cain, alongside his old friend and long-time partner Gabriel Maximus founded the ''Council for Human and Reploids Well-Being'', an organization set to fight for Reploid rights while reaching for terms that could also benefit humanity.

15 years later after his awakening, X still lives with Dr. Cain and Alpha in their humble place at the Third District, and has enlisted to the Maverick Hunters to try and make his own fights into what he believes, is the ideal future in which humanity and reploidkind could co-exist in complete peace. He was too young to stop the Moon Ripper back then, and despite disliking violence, he would try harder and harder to prevent any more innocent lives to be wasted ever again...
