Description
This is a portrait of a famous swedish trotter, Legolas. Unfortunately he passedaway earlier this year, by the age of 26.
Derwent pastel blocks (colors 72B, 70H, 70F, 70D, 70B and 67B)
Velour paper
5 hours aprox.
33x26 cm (12" X 10")
This was my first time working with pastel blocks, and IΒ΄m totally in love!

It's gorgeous, I love working with pastels, sadly, I haven't had access to any for over six months because:
1) My Primary School had some great ones, but, I go to high school now
2) My sister has our household ones over at her house
3) I haven't bought any because everytime I go to the art shop, they're sold out
Now, if that isn't bad luck, I don't know what is.
Anyway, back onto yoyr amazing drawing.
I love the eye area, and all the shading is spectacular!

So beautiful! Love the detail. How sad that he passed away, but at least he lived a pretty long life. My horse passed away mysteriously after a lightning storm 3 years ago. Sadly, he was only about 10 though. I still miss him.
