I spent about half an hour with this wild American Mink last saterday. Most of that time was spent watching it hunting amongst the reeds but it got out and came over to about 8 feet away to see what i was up to!These guys aren't native to the UK. They got released from fur farms by animal rights people that didn't think about the impact it would have on species like water voles that are having a tough enough time.
Anyhoo, it was captivating to watch.

He looks just like a ferret O.o A very mysteriouse color though. Ive never seen a ferret in that color. But if you want a mink a ferret would be a great pet. There like hyper active cats :3 that sleep alot.

You know, it's possible to have a ferret as a pet! They're almost the same as mink, only that they're less scary! (I bet the one in that picture wasn't that scary, though, but I know from own experience that wild mink bite and steal food if me and my parents go camping -.-' They're still kinda cute, though, except for those sharp teeth...)
