From pictures I've seen, these birds are really interesting to me. I've never seen one, can they fly like herons?

Are you having a book printed or a home project for a single class?
If you are wishing to use this in a book, project I have a single use
chg of 100.00 and I get credit for the image in the books credits.
email me if you're interested. I am a professional photographer and
I don't give away my images. For a small school project I would need
a lot more details .. aphotodga@hotmail.com Mention Deviantart in the
subject line. don

Scarce, shy and elusive here in the UK too. Very rare to see a shot with the bird this big and clear in the frame. Great work Don!

Beautiful, lovely environmental camouflage for the bird, and perfect sun highlight on the bird's head and neck to make her the focus of the shot.

everything about this shot is perfect! The colours, the composition, you can see so many textures! Plus I have never seen a bird quite like that before, he has big feet!
