A painting made after a dream I had.
I was trapped in a dark forest, trying desperatly to run in a black kind of mud which was slowy swallowing me while some golden leaves were attacking me.
Yes I know, it's weird.
Une peinture faite d'après un rêve que j'ai fait.
J'étais emprisonnée dans une sombre forêt, essayant désespéremment de m'enfuir alors qu'une sorte de boue noire était en train de m'avaler et que des feuilles dorées m'attaquaient.
oui, je sais, c'est bizarre.

In addition to possessing a surreal sensuality of the mud's uprising and down-pulling grasps on the lady and the fantastic-ness of leafy attacks around her brow and peppering her boggy captor, this painting has a wondrous, mysterious looseness while being strongly reminiscent of some of Arthur Rackham's work, masterpieces of the Golden Age of English children's book illustration, prior to WW!.
Although the mud has lowered her only to about mid-calf, the territory of mud-claim on her is so immense that her total engulfment seems inevitable. It's as though the deadened leaves were trying to get life back to them! This dream is an amazing double-peril!

It looks more like light versus dark, really nice effect, and I like how you blended the golden with the black and texturized the whole thing. It inspires pain, loneliness, and giving up, when the fight's not close from over, and kinda makes me think about change, fluidity. I haven't seen something like this in a long while, really expressive and yet simple. Beautiful work

très belle image et les tintes sont superbes comme d’habitude! on m'a dit une fois, ci tu fait un cauchemar, tu peu le dessiner et tu le refera plus... XD je sais pas ci c'est vrais lol faudra que j'essaye.
