Great! There should have been more blood and Severus flat on the floor after that vicious attack. But apart from that I thought the film setting in the boathouse, rather then the shack was genius,especially the snakes attack seen through the opaque window, rather Β then full on. far more atmospheric.

You should have been the illustrator for the series, absolutely breath taking. These feel like what the real characters would look like, if they were real.

Thank you for these very dear words. I'd love to have illustrated HP but illustrating is a business that requires very good connections to the right people (in fact any business does). I even tried to offer my services and "talent" to JKR's agency ...well I put the letter I got as an answer in one of my journals here.

That's too bad. I too would love to see an edition of HP with your illustrations. I think the powers that be are missing out on the vibrancy of what you and other artists have to offer. I'm not really aware of what made the difference between the multi-artist Lord of the Rings calendars in the 1980s and the attitude of the HP agency today, but it's a shame.
Speaking as someone who owns about 20 Alice in Wonderlands with different artist illustrations and quite a number of LotRs for the same reason. Sigh.

Excellent drawing, and really a well done scene. The only thing I find a little lacking are the expressions of both of them - Snape's seems to relaxed and Harry's too friendly, in a way - after all, at this moment, he still hates this guy with all his heart.

Maybe you're right, but I decided that in the moment of death there must be something like pure sincerity and forgiveness in the eyes of the person dying and the look of the person watching them die... so that's it ...

Generally speaking, I'm absolutely with you. It was one of the tragic points of Severus's death, at least in my opinion, that it all went so fast and there didn't seem time for more. Death really hits fast, particularly when you are not expecting it - or not accepting it.
