a mess he is now, wonked perspective and all, but i'm not through with 'im yet...cybertron jetfire: invention of hasbro/takara/gonzo/etc.
this drawing: product of hours on cartoon network's website and a pencil & eraser in my grubby mitts; may 2006.

But I really like what you've done! The colour texture has a rough feel that matches the pencils, and the layering of colour nicely enhances the lines. They're so lovely and bright, too.

Thanks; I'm glad you like it! I basically faded your lines on their own layer and then Polygon-Lasso'ed shapes for the colors. Then... I know I Multiplied the first color layer, but exactly what I did with the duplicates, I don't remember...

...i quote thee for truth! his head styling is uber-lovely, and his robot mode is adorable...has cute rounded parts and intimidating bulky parts, and it somehow all works together. *hugs jetfire*

My gosh, the detail you put in is amazing. Gorgeous job on the hand -- but you always do amazing hands. It's like a knack for you. I mean, all good artists can do reasonably good hands, but yours are always just right. I dunno how you do it.

gosh...thank you. i consider hand-drawing among my many weak points. partly why there's only one of his hands in this pic, really. 
newer TFs are detailed up the wazoo to start with, so i feel the need to be more detailed with this guy in order to get him right. i'm pretty sure it's not all there, even. but again, thanks! sometimes it's nice to sit down and force myself to pay attention to detail...
