The next crazy game concept for the Princess project is here!
And what a time to introduce a new character, the Bootleg Fairy!
To start off with Princess in Bootland, I based the character of the Bootleg Fairy off of a bootleg PPG98 game sprite seen in this Vargskelethor vid (some of you may recognize it) - take a look for yourself: youtu.be/v2UzROUj0yE?t=9m54s
Basically, what goes on in Princess in Bootland is that Princess Rosalyn suddenly finds herself stuck on Althemus, an island where all bootleg characters are banished to. The Bootleg Fairy notices Princess is lost on the island, and decides to try and help her get home, and that's pretty much where the story kicks off.
I've been toying around with the Bootleg Fairy as a character since I sketched her out - I've been thinking about making her one of two things, either just another helpful exposition fairy, or the secret big bad and final boss. I guess maybe if the game does get made, we'll have to see! :3
