Description The latest re-envisioning of the Bionicle,Toa Lewa Nuva.As i did before,i took what was dominant and recognizable of the toys and reworked it using my drawing style.

Again,if the Bionicle fanboys don't like it...meh.

HEY! MORE HUMAN BIONICLES!!! YES!

Personally, I wish that lego did something like this in their bionicle movies. Make them more human like, that is. Maybe, manga-tize them or something.

One more thing though, What is with the "STAR" sets that are coming out? If you want to give out older sets, that's fine, but don't make them into chibi's next time for crise sake!

So i'm assuming the Bionicle fans are okay with my re-imagining of the 6 original Toas..lol.

Well,i think the sentient mecha/robot look was always what drew people to Bionicles. So if they did something like this,it'll be a step away from their line and probably anger the hardcore fanboys.I think they were going for more human like in their latest plot with Mata Nui..if you notice that line looks very humanoid, except for the enemies.

As for the "STAR" line,i'm hoping it'll come to Singapore..so far there's no word and sign of it coming.I'm assuming its just for their anniversary of Bionicles and not a real line per se.I was hoping they'll do a movie on the Phantoka/Mistika line..though from what i heard and this is from rumors and hearsay,Lego is ending the Bionicle line of toys.

Yeah, the only reason I would buy the STAR sets is only because of the parts that I want for my MOCs. If they are trying to think of a set to make for next year, I have a good Baterra concept they could use. I plan to post it up too.

Wai- WHAAAAT?!?O.0?...........
OOOHH NOOOOOOOO!!! '0' AAAAAAAHHHH!!! YOU GOT TO BE KIDING MAAAEEEEEEEE!!!!
They CAN'T stop the production.T^T It's a good story. They gotta keep it up, it can't end like this! Maybe, make a story within a story. Like the "Hydros Chronicles" on youtube. But they musnt quit!!!

I've noticed some really nice MOCs around..though for the live of me,i really don't have the courage to take them apart..lol.I guess i like them the way they are just fine

Its only a rumor and hearsay so take it with a pinch of salt..nothing is really confirmed though if you'll notice BZpower forums isn't posting any new news about the Bionicles.I pretty much like the Mata Nui storyline and animation myself though i think alot of people hated the cartoon..lol.

Yeah, I don't have the nerve to take mine apart either. Insted i try to by another figure or two at WAL*MART under my parents nose. Why? I'm a 19-year-old in colledge...I'll let you do the math.

Yeah, I guess you're right about that. They really DIDN'T anounce it did they? And yeah, the movie sucked. Not just "sucked", but *ahem* sucked thornax balls, if you will. I really did think they could've put more into it, though. Maybe put in a backstory of Gresh or a couple other characters, make some of the characters look and act the way they should(refering to the Skrall and bone hunters acting like chickens and getting owned all the time lol.), and maybe have a "relationship" moment between Gresh and Kina, maybe....<<...>>...I had to put that one in there.

Hehe..yet another old person who buys Bionicles..lol.well,i'm 32 and i just started collecting them..sigh..kinda went over board on it methinks.Yes,toy collectors have an OCD called,"gotta get them all syndrome."We don't really have a Walmart here in Singapore(no,its not in China) hence me not being able to get Bionicle Stars.

No announcing about it though did they announce the Mata Nui storyline until the last minute?I guess i'm okay with the animation,i liked Web of Shadows the most.If it were that bad,i wouldn't have started collecting it.I'm assuming they didn't really flesh out the characters in the movie and it was abit too simple where plots go.Though i wish they had featured more of Tarix,Vastus and Gresh.

Drake-Silver In reply to Songsblade [2009-11-15 16:22:01 +0000 UTC]

Ah man, sorry about that, dude. But you are now collecting them at 32? Aren't you a bit embarased when you get one?(like I do when I walk out of the story with one)

Oh, yes. Web of Shadows indeed. That may have been the best out of all of them. Think about it. Smooth animation, plots that are darker, the lighting matched the moods of each sceen, and (imo the most desired thing) fighting. Plus, the music. I mean GOD, what happened to the original theme in Legend Reborn!? If I were to rate movies 3 and 4, WoS would be a 9, and LR would be (what?) 6, maybe.

Yup,i just started and i have like 50+ and counting...a friend of mine had a brother who didn't want his Bionicles and we're talking the original 6 but 3 Toa Nuva..hehe..i wish i had the willpower to just walk out with one..i tend to walk out of the store with a whole line( what i did when i collected my Mistika and Phantoka sets..yes,it was a day to remember..lol). Basically i'd rather be doing what makes me happy and i like Bionicles. Kind fun putting the figures together and hunting for them. Most people wouldn't care here coz we have real psychos who collects toys in Singapore (if you want i could give u a link for the forum they are at) and not as many collecting Bionicles. In a way i rather be the unique one that collects them..gives me something to talk about.Though i do have to hide it from my parents and girlfriend..i just put them in my huge backpack..not because i'd get laughed at but because i have THAT many which i buy at a shot. Lemme put it this way..would u rather be spending yer cash on drugs and excessive amounts of booze really often or do you prefer to spend it on Bionicles which at least you could look at in your room..nerdy and geeky as it might sound.

I liked WoS for the rahaga..kinda cool and at least they had small speaking parts and the end was excellent as to how the metrus became Turagas.Just wished there were movies on the older lines..like the Inika and Mahri. Surprisingly,i actually like LR..yup, i'm one those weird ones.I guess i'm coming in from a fresh look at the line and i didn't really know the back story then. Now i still like it but only because its a fresh start for the line though i AM hoping the rest of the Toas appear somewhere in the movies.

hehe, link to what now? the toys or the psychos?XD But really, you don't get embarassed walking out of a store with a pack full of them in you cart?

Well, ok, it IS a fresh start to newer gen., I'll give you that one. Hell, the Mask of Light wasn't THAT good either now that I look back, but then it stupendus. Ya, you have a good point there.

Songsblade In reply to Drake-Silver [2009-11-17 06:12:20 +0000 UTC]

Heh..to the toy collectors...nope...I mostly put them in a huge backpack i carry my laptop and work stuff in. Should i be feeling embarrassed? I don't know ...i guess here no one really cares if you collect toys and buy a shitload of them and walk out in a cart or bag with them.Seriously, ive seen guys walk out of the store with a small fortune in action figures.I'm pretty much okay about it. maybe its because i'm not your stereotypical toy/comic fanboy (the comic book guy from simpsons..hehe)..i don't now. Why?do you? My parents pretty much understand my toy obsession..and yes before you think of me as being your basement dwelling lives with the parents sort, the majority of people here still tend to live with their parents..considering how much rent is nowaways in singapore but i digress. So you feel embarrassed about collecting stuff like toys and walking out the door with them?

As i said..its a fresh start for people just coming into Bionicles. Can you imagine if they did the movies for the older line? It'll be cool i agree but it'll only make the fanboys happy who will be there anyway..as for the new people, they'll be wondering..who the heck is Toa Tahu or why should i care about Turaga Vakama?See?Not everyone's going to go out and buy the last 3 movies just to play catch up.

Anyway, don't be embarrassed about something like collecting Bionicles,dude...seriously. I always see people like that as being unique and staying away from the herd.

Ya, I usually try to collect at least one or two out of a store when I'm at WAL*MART with my folks. I'd feel a lot better though if I had my own drivers license, then I don't have to risk having my parents see the stuff I got. The same questions every damn time I buy something, "You buy anything? What you get?(and thet'll possibly ask) You really needed that-.-?" WTF is this, 20 questions?
They expect me to grow up some and actually be an adult for a change. Over and over; I'm sick and tired of it. I'd get a lot more to make mocs with if I had a mastercard for Ebay.XP But then they'd STILL ask what I bought when they see a box on the front porch. My pa says it's a "peter pan" track I'm taking; "you're not a 12 year-old boy now" he says. NO SHIT, SHERLOCK!!! And I tell them the same reason why I do what I do, but don't seem to get it.
You wanna know why I do it? Because it's one of the only few things left that I know. See, when I was a mid schooler, my friends and I were into Yu-gi-oh cards. In the end, their atention turned to girls, and I wasn't into them yet at the time. Result: lonely, friendless highschool years. the only thing i had close to friends were a few classmates and friendly teachers.
.....>>......<<.....I know I'm ranting at the moment, but you probably get the point right now. Without actual friends, I'm just stuck with my fan fic.s, my art, and my bionicle mocs. They're practicly the only things left that I got in my life right now. Do you think you could understand that?.....

Heh..dude,if i insulted you in any way or seems like i'm being preachy,my apologies, didn't mean to come of that way.I pretty much don't have a drivers license..Singapore is way too small so taking public transport is pretty okay.Agreed you have to lug stuff around after you buy them but hey..whatcha gonna do.I just get the wierd looks every so often and nothing much more..gratefully...considering i had to throw my old toys away when i was a kid (sigh..vintage star wars and old gi joes..lol). As fo the girlfriend, she's okay as long as i spend within my means..though with ebay..its getting tough..lol.

Man,i used to play magic when i was younger,as for yu-gi-oh cards,i only just stayed with the pc versions and now and then the pc versions.Kinda liked the anime for some reason. As for getting into girls,i'm glad so far i've known some which gamed and liked comics.Still trying to figure them out though..heheh. All i can say is,in this day and age, growing up ain't easy and growing up to be so banal about games and toys,to me thats a fate far worse than death.I guess i collect Bionicles coz it still keeps what imagination i have alive..also it gives me some inspiration/ideas for my art..lol

It's ok. It's just that the problem w/ me is that my parents don't seem to understand this sortof thing. I just don't know what to tell them now to change their minds. That seems to be one of the biggest problems I have right now besides school.

Wait, PC version? What the heck are PC versions? Is it relative to...gameboy versions and such?
See I didn't think there WOULD be "gaming" girls in this world. It's practically a myth to me over here(that kind of girl is a very rare species XP).
*sigh* that's pretty much the same reason I collect them. Just to keep me creating and building from scrap. Seems like you and I have a few things in common(if u dont mind me saying).

Heh..believe me,i know how you feel like and its always going to be there though give them time or better yet, once you get a job..think of the amount of bionicles you can get without them saying anything..lol.You can't change their attitudes coz its already ingrained and they come from a generation that believes in as you grow older, the more of the kid you leave behind.Parents'll always be like that..don't blame them.Besides, you'll miss it when you move out or when they aren't around anymore.sorry if it comes out wrong or anything.Mostly for me,my parents are resigned to my toy collecting so long as i keep it under an amount and as for my gf,its something she understands thankfully and something i want to pass down to my kids in the future.

yup, there were PC versions of the yu-gi-oh card game about a few years back..3 of them in fact.Totally different from the gameboy versions,as in there was no storyline and it was just battling all the way.If you're looking for them, they are..yu-gi-oh power of chaos ,joey the passion game and Kaibah the revenge. The card could be imported from one game to another.
Heh..with the advent of WoW and console gaming,"gaming" girls are appearing which is cool i think.Which part of the US are you living in..i'm assuming you're from the US?lol
Yup,i daresay we have a few things in commonAnyway,if you need to talk and you have msn,add me..i'm always open to helping people out and hearing them..lol.

Ya, I can get as many as I want at that point. Heck, once I get a credit card from work, I can buy the ones I didn't get from Ebay. -YAY
But yes, they are from another generation, can't change that. But if neither of us is gonna change our opinions, we might as well live with it. tough, but it will be over eventually. Thank goodness you have a GIRLfriend that understands you dude. I don't even have a FRIEND that I think understands that part of me.

I might look for those games, now that you mention it, I just don't know where to start looking. oh um , I'm from West Virginia, country and on a farm(go figure, it's WV lol.)
thanks for this man. by the way, whats msn again; my text 'lango' is a bit rusty.
My name is James, though every one that realy knows me calls me Jimmy.

ahhh...i know how that feels like..since having a debit card,i'm tempted as hell to buy huge amounts of Bionicles but i have to stop myself.
Heh..well,when we're parents,we'll be in their generation and we'll be wondering why our kids are collecting stuff like Lego or Bionicles. Its a vicious cycle..lol.
As for the girlfriend bit, little by little she's starting to hate them..lol..but you'll find someone who'll understand why you collect them..trust me on this
Well, try the discount bins..i know they have them here in singapore..covered in dust..lol.Thats the legal way..as for the illegal..i ain't saying nothing..lol.Man,you live in a farm?Cool..i pretty much live in the city..hell,Singapore to small to have a farmland.Msn as in the msn messenger?lol
oh..nice to meet you James.
