I was not very happy with my first attempt at creating a beast machines version of Dinobot (hence the reason this pic I am referring to is now in my scraps folder)I realize Dinobot died at the end of Beast Wars but this is my own little head canon where Dinobot doesn't die and joined the others on Cybertron in Beast Machines. Also, in my head canon, Rhinox also doesn't turn evil and certainly doesn't want to overthrow Megatron and take over Cybertron because that was a really STUPID idea. Yeah. I said it. . I really liked Rhinox a lot so he doesn't disappear/die and instead remains with the Maximals: Cheetor, Rattrap, Black Arachnia, Silverbolt, Botanica, Optimus Primal...and of course I suppose that I have to include the whiny emo Nightscream.... I have a love/hate relationship with him. Heh. He eventually grows on me but he's really annoying for a while.
I will be creating a beast machines persona for Rhinox at some point... but I digress, I love Dinobot more than anything and I cried like a baby when he passed away and I just hate imaging him not being around to goad Rattrap into one of their famous agruments
heheh. Dino and Rattrap are best pals when they aren't fighting and trying to kill each other.... I'm much happier with how my second attempt at Beast Machines-verse Dinobot turned out. I kept with many of his more defining features from Beast Wars and ran with making him look more humanoid like all the other Maximals. I promise I will try to color/complete this soon. I realize that I have not yet begun to procrastinate..sooo yeah... it'll happen at some point, but "when", I have no idea. HAW!

I always thought that perhaps the matrix/oracle might ressurect him during the Beast Machines conflict, because at SO many points, they needed a warrior. not just another like them, scientist turned soldier, but someone who is a warrior to their core.

I was thinking something like that might have happened for Dinobot so thanks for encouraging the idea of the Oracle bringing him back, which is a good idea/choice to make should I write this story some day! As for Rhinox, he followed everyone in the ship to crash land on Cybertron and in my little universe, he never got lost and plays a major supporting role for the gang during their troubles dealing with Megatron on Cybertron.

You bring up a good point, Rhinox heel-turn just seemed to be there for the sake of it! I understand why Rhinox would prefer things to be more ordered and getting rid of Megatron would only make it easier, but he seemed to just roll with it a little TOO happily... As if he'd ALWAYS wanted to be a baddie but never had a good enough excuse... Until Beast Machines that is...

I wish BM was rewritten and Dinobot would be resurrected by the oracle to help Optimus and the gang.

What idea?
What if when Optimus choose to return to help his friends, the oracle would give them a gift. And that is Dinobot's return. But with a mix of his normal and his clone's transmetal II abilities?

Completely agree with ya. "Code of Hero" was a real tear-jerker; I think that was the only time I cried in response to animation. But now he lives on through your artwork.

Yeah, totally bawled when he passed on. I have such an attraction to the bad boys so I'm always broken hearted when they're done in by some way or other... So yeah, totally making up a new alternate universe where he gets close to death but doesn't actually cross over into the well of all sparks.

I like that idea! Speaking of making up, I had an idea on palette/attire designs for Goku and Vegeta, based on Sonic and Shadow, since the fans are comparing DragonBall Z and Sonic the Hedgehog.
