Gah, every time I try to type "modern" I keep wanting to type "Mordor"! LOL. I'm a nerd and I roll like that.

A dapper Anubis, you say? Why, yes, I think I'll take that!!!

Anubis/Duncan Douglas dressed in a suit with that awesome Egyptian headdress that he looks like such a major BAMF in. The style and weapon is of course inspired by Anubis's ancient origins, but I've also drawn inspiration from Stargate's Anubis concept: Here and Here . CLICKY THE LINKS!! YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT! - Because Stargate is awesome and there's nothin' you can do about changing my mind! HAW!

I put him in a high collared suit that is definitely victorian style in inspiration because I also dig the steampunk look and just because- why not? Anubis's staff is enchanted and can morph into any useful stave weapon he desires, so at times it can sport a blade like you see here or it can become something considerably more deadly like Stargate's Ma'Tok staff . It can also be broken in two and become dual blades or weapons based on the ancient style of crook and flail, etc. There's no end to Anubis's ingenuity. He's a God, the son of Osiris, and possesses a seemingly limitless amount of power/magic when pressed to demonstrate just how deadly and destructive he can be.

.... heh... Duncan had no idea what he was getting into when he agreed to become the host of Anubis, God of death and embalming.

I chewed my lower lip bloody and drew this in the wee hours of the morning because I'm trying not to succumb to a doubt and self-loathing fueled panic attack dealing with life's less than stellar hurdles.... Art is really the only thing I can concentrate on right now, so I'm sorry to everyone who was hoping I'd have more writing for "Integration" done. I'm trying, really I am, but I am not in a good frame of mind at the moment and drawing as a form of therapy is easier to manage.
