Well, I've been reading this for I don't know HOW long, and even I understand why she rejects him.
1) She's already in a relationship.
2) Think of all the times SONIC rejected HER.

so yea those could be factors but don't forget amys cares about others a lot so maybe she doesn't wanna upset earl or something also cool as sonamy is like I'm a sonamy fan but I know it's not with it's flaw on flaw is amy can be clingy when it comes to sonic and therefore worry he might leave give it she does trust him and knows he wouldn't hurt her on purpose and if he did he would be extremely sorry about it and she does let sonic have his space and freedom but still at the same time clingy. give it these flaws. are better then some of the other pairings like shadamy or.scrooge x amy etc but even the best couple aka sonamy isn't. without flaws

oh and I don't think amy was scared of earl or rather she was but she was more scared of being alone and unloved in other words she figure if she cant have the one she loves she should go with the next best thing and because earl and amy have been together for a whileΒ and are living together and because earl the first to confess to her and also cause she might have a special feeling for him (and lets face it a special feeling isn't always the same as true love) she feels that she cant leave him or shouldn't leave him oh and something I said I should probably correct amys feelings for sonic never disappeared they were Β dormant until hede return
