Dashie... Why u be so difficult sometimes? X3 I'm tellin' ya'all, this pic was not easy in any way, shape or form. So many road-blocks, so many confusions, bleh bleh bleh. But I still got it done in about a four-day period (not including Saterday, since I didn't work on it at all then), and still got at least decent results. I'M INVINCIBLE!!
Anyway, this was for *Super-Klonoa-GT 's Free-for-all Super Rainbow Dash contest, in which ya can do practically anything with none other than Super Dashie. No limits, no nothin'; the possibilities for this contest is endless. So, naturally, I went crazy; started throwing around ideas in my head. I had an idea originally in my head for another character (I'll get to that in a minute), so because I wasn't able to use that character anymore I put this flame-headed pony in instead.
There was pretty much only one thing of Dashie herself that drove me off-the-walls mad... THE FLIPPIN' WING ANATOMY AND IT'S FLIPPIN' PROPERTIES!! XP It took forever to find the right reference for Dashie's wings. I'm not exaggerating! ... Well, yes I am, but not the point. X3 The point is, MLP wing anatomy is hard. Especially when ya want it in a position similar to what I did here. Took me half a day 'til I finally found the proper reference.
The background was a toughy too, but thanks to *MinnaSundberg 's "Various Element tutorial" (fav.me/d15oalx) , I managed to get the perfect lightening bolts to hide my errors and to give the right illusion of danger and thrill. I really owe that tutorial one; it was incredibly helpful! Don't be surprised if I reference it again!
... By now you've probably noticed the little doodles in the left-hand corner. Yep, it's Klonoa and Sketch. Klo bein' all upset and everythin'. "No fair! I was supposed to be there!" he says. And I'm not going to scold 'im right now, 'cause he's right.
Yep, the original contest was to have Super Klonoa with his Wind Sword instead of Dashie, but because of "lack of interest," the contest was changed. Klo and I were very upset about that, but at least it gave me good practice on MLP again. I'm really starting to get addicted to drawin' 'em. I loved the original idea I had in mind for Klo, so I replaced 'im with Dashie to get the results here. If ya people really want to see a version of this with Super Klonoa instead, then I will ever so kindly do it. I'll only do it by popular demand, however, for I'm so busy right now to do it for my spare time. 
So there ya go. Despite its flaws, I think this is one of my best pieces yet. X3 Hope ya'all like this thing!

This pic really shows the effects of SRD channeling her energy while being consumed with frustration and rage. I'm super impressed.

Uh, Matt? This isn't Dark Super Dash. Its just her being pissy in a dark area, that's all, and I don't think being pissy will cause her Harmonic energy to transform her into a dark being. Not while she still has the clear goal of restoring Harmony in her mind, and this is something you'll see in the last chapter of my fic here when Twilight pins her down.
Honestly, if I were to make a dark form for her, it'd probably be a mix of Dark Super Sonic and the Nightmare form.

When I saw a dark aura instead of a white aura, I naturally assumed it was a new spin on Super Rainbow Dash like when frustration and negative energy is at her peak. I mean, when you see black tones with red eyes, you naturally assume 'Dark form' no matter what the location is, y'know? Especially since her white aura is flourescent, but all you can see on her fur here if a dark blue outline, no white.

Dark Super Dashie? O.o Where?
This is just the regular ol' Super Rainbow Dash. No Dark Dashie here. X3 I guess it just appears dark because of the shading. Had to do some intense shadin' so she doesn't seem so out of the background, which is also dark.
Well I'mma glad that ya like how I did this! ^w^ Though I know for a fact I could've done better, I'm at least relieved that it wasn't any worse than how it could've turned out. X3
Call me wrong if I'm missin' out on something, but wasn't the "going Super because of the Elements" thing and Super Rainbow Dash *Super-Klonoa-GT 's idea? O.o

Actually the original idea from Super Klonoa was that the Chaos Emeralds would find their way to Equestria and they would bond with Dash and allow her to go Super, the element of Loyalty appearing on her chest just of as a symbol of power or control. That was his old fanfic. Then me and Super Klonoa got into a long discussion on the fundamental nature of how cool the concept Super Rainbow Dash was and how it made a lot of sense because the Complete Rainbow-elements originated from Dash in Cutie Mark Chronicles at the catalyst, but how it made a lot more sense that the elements of harmony would act as the equivalent for the Emeralds.
The reasoning behind it was you could consider Mobius and Equestria home to the two opposite sources of power metaphysically, like the 4 metaphysical elements in some fictions.

Super Klonoa basically posted my thoughts on his journal, presenting me as a theorist for him, saying he was rewriting the concept and starting his fanfic for Super Rainbow Dash over. Way back in his journal archive. That was ages ago, although he and I discuss certain theories from time to time, including the possibility of a dark form and other fan theories about RD, I tried to not to lend too much of my suggestions to his everyday discussions because I felt if I had any more impact on his character then what I already did, I would have too big of an impact on his own concept for RD. He created it, so too many ideas coming from another single person didn't feel right. I have my own huge MLP project I'm working on, a complete action story crossover with an anime, so I did not want to intrude any further on his if I can.

No, no problem. : D There are very few people who know I created a lot of the theorems surrounding his re-write. Yeah, I know what you mean ex: "people claiming they were the creator of something", "People claiming they heard something they actually didn't", etc. I actually figured you would react this way, most people would.
It just so happened that AM telling the truth, but I don't want it to be well known. I kind of feel guilty somehow that all the theories I come up with and share with him he considers to be relevant enough to address.

This is a really awesome piece! I really love the vortex approach with the deep shading that highly accents the flaming rainbow mane! I also love the character design as well as the atmospheric elements that resonate with Dash in a wonderful way! The color work is also very brilliant! This is pretty much proof right here that Dash doesn't like giving up or failing/losing to save the world, as will be seen in the final chapter of my fic here. She will do everything to win, and she definitely won't let the world fall into chaos.

Yeah, I know. Sorry about the subject change, but to be honest, I wouldn't have done it if the current head admin of the didn't refuse to trust me. I mean, I know what I did before, but honestly, it's been three damn years already since I did them. Seems like she's not letting the past go, really, or she really does dislike my stuff... Even though a bunch of Sonic/Klonoa crossover stuff is still allowed within the group. *sigh*
I'd try again, but what are the chances of being ignored again? =/
Anyway, you may do it. Just remember the chances of me holding another Klonoa contest are slim. Not until I sort things out with the group, if it ever happens...

Yes, that is very true. I don't watch the show very often at all, but according to what I've heard from all sorts of Bronies, Dashie can be pretty stubborn when it comes to admitting defeat in practically any situation, whether it is life or death or just simply a little play-fight.

Though I doubt she hates your stuff. I bet it's either the first thing there-- the part that she probably still had a grudge on ya (even though it seems pointless by now)-- or maybe she is just trying to defend Klo, in a sense. From the rest of the fandom, that is. Unless they have accepted Super Klo already, they might be a little wary of the idea of Super Klonoa simply because they may think that the rest of the stupid, Klonoa fandom might find him as a perfect opportunity to show Klo as even more of a so-called "Ripoff" (yep, I've heard about all that). Though it's really stupid because they make fun of Klo more than Sonic, who I have heard is a bit of a so-called ripoff in different fields. It's like they're not really "fans" of Klonoa at all. I really plan to make a rant 'bout that soon, seriously.
If I do have the chance to do my original idea with Klo instead, I'll only do it for the purpose of fun.

If she does think that, well, I'm afraid she doesn't have the right to speak for the entire fanbase, as it itself is already pretty divided. One side prefers the classic Phantomillian design, another side prefers the Lunatean design, etc... But I doubt that's her reason. No, I believe its to do with me only. I DID do a lot of stupid stuff after all, and that's why she's not letting me be at least co-founder of the group.
As for the ripoff thing, well, that's what happens when people don't wake up and realize that nothing is original... At least I know there's a lot of people who at least don't mind Super Klonoa being canonized. Its just that there always seems to be the opposing minority who are louder than the rest. =/

True. I still say it's kinda unfair to be yelling at Klo more than they do to Sonic, who-- as far as I can tell-- was inspired by Mickey before Klo was possibly inspired by the Sonic design (whether he was inspired by the Sonic eyes or not I have no idea, but I know for a fact that Klo was very different in his classic form).
I really hope to change that last part. When I find the time I hope to try and be loud and defend Klo's cause, but that all depends on how things turn out schedule-wise. X3
