This crazy idea started over a year ago, when I was able to meet Ian Flynn himself at HeroesCon. He told me that the recent Shadow Fall arc in the Archie Sonic comics was originally going to have Black Doom and Mephiles the Dark as the antagonists, but Sega scrapped the idea. However, I was so in love with the idea I couldn't get it out of my head. I thought to myself, "What if we used this story for Lost Hedgehog Tales?". I wanted to find a way to make it look convincing, and then it hit me, what better way to bring this idea to life than to combine the talents of a skilled Archie fan and someone who officially works there? Inspired by the movie poster to the film "Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection 'F'", a film I thoroughly enjoyed (though I preferred the Japanese title "Revival of 'F'"), I had the legendary draw and ink this out, and himself did the colors. Seriously, you both did an awesome job, I can't thank you enough. I hope everyone enjoys this product of my craziness, and I really hope this idea makes it into Lost Hedgehog Tales.Sketched/Inked by

Looks damn good! And yes, I too refer to Resurrection F as Revival of F. It just sounds better.
I didn't bother seeing the movie since I was already in the middle of the Battle of Gods saga in Dragon Ball S and the Revival of F saga is currently underway, but since I saw the unextended, subbed version of Battle of Gods and never bothered watching the extended dubbed version or Revival of F, I'm tempted to get them on DVD now.

As much as I love DBZ movies, I'm always a little reluctant to watch them. DBZ movies tend to feel rushed for me; I prefer the thrill of suspense the TV series gives by stretching events out over different sagas, but since I enjoyed Battle of Gods, I might as well.

Yeah, they are kinda rushed, but still enjoyable. I personally thought Battle of Gods was much better on the big screen than in Dragon Ball Super.

I'm kind of the opposite- I like long, drawn out stories. They keep me interested and on-edge. Although I do question the differences between BoG and Super's two different versions. In the anime, it was entirely over the see and away from West City. In Toyataro/Toyble's adaptation manga, part of it takes place in the city, and the rest above water, and brings back the mention of the other universes, which the anime oddly lacked. I also preferred how Super depicted Vegeta. He felt very ooc in BoG. But why are they even retelling it through the anime and manga? Was Toriyama not satisfied with how Battle of Gods turned out, even though it and Revival of F are the most successful new DBZ movies?

Sorry, I wouldn't know. I suppose it's a marketing decision, because they know that even if they recycle the same plot people will still watch it. But I am excited for the upcoming arc with the tournament from the Sixth and Seventh Universes.
