Well if I recolor something I do it in PS, play it by ear

I don't know how to explain it in English but I'll try.
For me the best way for recolor armor, with adding stripes for example, is using masks. I remove everything except this part of texture I want to color. I'm novice with PS, maybe someone who can do magic with this program know some simpler way to custom recoloring

i do with photoshop but i need learn more about vectoring cause my vector is bad
