The concept is open to wide interpretation, which is a VERY nice quality.
I think it'd do nice with a sister photo, where the feminine/young hand is the one on the top.
In this photo the strong, big hand is dominant, seeming to imply strength, guidance, protection, and leadership. If the other hand were on top, I think it'd show gentleness, tenderness, kindness, etc.
You should revisit this!
