I am not hating of this picture, I love it, it's beautiful, fantastic, GORGEOUS. But I just don't understand why people do things like this. I guess it's just the way they are, their opinions, the way they want to do things. I can't change their way of thinking, nobody can. I agree 100% with you. I don't hate putting females with females, I actually think it very creative, I just had to get that rant out of my system, I'm not against this lovely art, I promise you.

Consider this: My Little Pony has only one male character in the main cast. A baby dragon. There are very few male recurring characters, and overall, there seems to be at least twice as many mares as there are colts. Logically, a bit of gayness follows.
So, we have a cast full of girls, with very few men to go around. This is exactly the kind of fandom that is yuri friendly. There are simply not a lot of het options, and the yuri fans love it, and so it develops naturally in this direction.

RariJack is a nice pairing. I like Appledash best, but if not, then I like FlutterDash and RariJack, or maybe RariTwi.
Oh yes, I've seen those abbreviations before. It's all about what's easiest on the tongue. Twilight and Pinkie is usually rendered as TwiPie, or just Twinkie, for one.
