This little guy was actually done way back in September, requested at the same time as Legolas. He was a Christmas present, so in order to keep the surprise I left Frodo sitting on my hard drive for a couple months. Merry Christmas!Once again, the props were the most difficult part of this doll with the hair being the most fun.
To make your own hobbit hair, curl yarn around a wooden dowl (thickness depending on how tight/loose the curls are) and hold it over a steaming, boiling pot of water for about fifteen minutes. Blow-dry to lock in the curl and voila! You have Elijah Woods!

I am the proud recipient of this doll. He stands by my monitor and keeps me company at my computer. I adore how he came out. His hair has relaxed a bit since the picture was taken, so he's looking a little emo. But he's great.

It won't be as pettable, but you can also dampen the yarn with water that has a teeny bit of elmer's before you do the dowel wrap bit. Sometimes it helps.

Thats really good, I love the costume, it's really accurate. (except... his feet aren't hairy. Hobbits are supposed to have hairy feet 
Regarding the big angsty eyes. A comedian I am a fan of did a 'retelling' of LOTR, based on the movies and books (he thought it should have been a musical

Acutally, the lady who requested Frodo asked me to add the hairy feet on before I sent him. I didn't get any pictures, but rest assuerd that he's suitably furry now.

Oh the whole SHOW is like that! It's one of the funniest shows I've ever experienced. He put it on CD (recorded live with an audience) and I often listen to it while I work and it doesn't matter how many times I listen, it always has me giggling. The Balrog Song (sung from the POV of the Balrog - "when he said 'fly you fool', you see it was me he meant not you!"
