Description

one of the oldest sons of the draconian, Lord Phobos, Necrosis embodies the fear of death, and is a master of necromancy and the dark arts.

personality: Necrosis is an old and wise drake with his mind set in the old drake ways, before science or alchemy, and holds a strong belief in the superiority of magic and the omnipotence of death. so cold and efficient are his ways that he and Gernot are at constant odds as to who can do things better. he is not cruel or at least doesnt see himself as such, but holds no fear of death or the act of killing which he sees as a form of liberation. He respects and cares for the dead as he is dead himself and not even in his own original body. He worships Halo, the drake god of the afterlife and sees his necromancy as his religious practice and form of his worship. his arrival is often signaled by his constant singing of "O' Death", since being dead he never grows tired of it.

powers:If he can make proper contact with something he can cause it to decay and necrotize, hence his name. as a son of Phobos he also has the power to induce fear on either individuals or groups nearby, causing confusion or madness. Necrosis can ressurect the dead as husks of their former selves to do his bidding, in combat he often resurrects entire hordes to fight for him. If he has a soul he can completely ressurct an individual to a near perfect state depending on the body. Necrosis is skilled at other magics as well, mostly curses and enchantments, but has retained his power to some degree over earth and fire, the elements of his parents, although it is not what it once was. manipulating and controlling death and the dead is however his main form of defense and offense.

abilities: Necrosis is already dead, if anything happens to his body he can simply reassemble himself. If his body is beyond repair his soul will linger until a new body becomes available, which he keeps plenty just in case. he has gone through many bodies throughout the years and often changes once a body becomes unusable or inefficient due to significant decay. he occasionally uses his magic to make a body last longer than it should to at least maintain a static appearance as long as possible.

history: before his untimely death years ago, Necrosis was Lord Phobos' strongest and eldest son, and his father's pride and joy. he was loyal, strong, intelligent, skilled, and powerful beyond measure. like his many siblings, Necrosis was raised under strict control by his father who brutally punished them for misbehavior and offered few rewards. he met his end by Fenris' wrath when the citizens of his father's ill fated city made a contract with the draconian of revenge to destroy the tyrant who tormented them so horribly for so long. Necrosis died defending his father who did little in return for his son's sacrifice while protecting him. Because of their older brother's death Necrosis' other siblings were left to fight Fenris, instead of an obvious death they all fled and left Phobos to his frozen fate. Necrosis is almost as old as Naga and in that time he has changed from being the fear of death incarnate to a grumpy old man. He has maintained a relatively neutral stance in the world since, but the return of Naga has since re-sparked his interest.

weaknesses: physically Necrosis would appear to be harmless and frail with age, the only thing to protect him is his magic and the creatures he resurrects. However at his age he just doesnt care anymore, he'll just rebuild or ressurect himself and move on for another time.
