"What is your problem!? You couldn't have warned me!?" Persephone snapped at the fox, whom was sitting there scratching her ear with her back paw.

"Consider it pay back. You seem a little wet behind the ears." The fox smirked.

Persephone shot a look of spiteful defeat towards Roxan, "Let's just keep moving, before I decide to drown you."

"As you wish, princess!" Roxan scoffed, knowing she won this little struggle.

As the two ventured in more, they noticed a lack of insects here. The forest was quite, the air cooled from the canopy. Further in, Persephone spots a small bush with a light-blue sphere on it. Persephone races ahead to see what it may be. As she approaches, she notices its an oran berry bush, with a few oran berries on it. She picks two or three then hands one out to Roxan.

"Here. We can have some lunch as we walk."

Roxan looks at the berry and grabs it. She sniffs it a bit before putting it in her mouth. The outside was hard to break through, but the inside was juicy and delicious. There was of flavor that seeped into her mouth, but a significant taste of sweetness bitter. It was a clash that complemented one another only because of the presence of the other flavors. A satisfied look rushed across Roxan as she finished her berry.

"These are fucking great! This forest must be hell-a-healthy!" She chippered.

Persephone nodded as she finished her berry. The two got up and started in the same direction they were originally headed. Until Roxan felt something pelt her in the back of the head. She fell to the ground as an aspear berry fell in front of her.

"What is with me getting hit in the fucking head today!?" Roxan shouted as she rose from the ground.

Persephone, who simply watched the event, looked down on her partner, "Does it matter? Not like you're using it anyways."

"Ha. Ha. You're hilarious. Now, who's the buttercup that hit me?" Roxan turned around to see the Scyther she encountered earlier.

"Isn't that the Scyther you stomped into the ground?" Persephone said, pointing at him.

"Oh shit-"

"OI! You're the one that stepped on my head!" The Scyther said, as he stroked another aspear berry with his scythe.

Roxan stared at him with a blank expression smeared on her face.

"What you lookin' at foxy!?" The Scyther snapped.

"How did you throw the berry?"

There was a long pause between the three. Roxan and Persephone because they were trying to figure out that answer, and the Scyther because he was just asked that question. After a quick second of silence, the Scyther dropped the aspear berry and screamed out,

"I will not be made a fool!"

He charged the two girls, scythes glowing a light blue. Persephone immediately jumped off to the side to avoid the attack, while Roxan still sat there with the previous expression evolving into a scowl. The Scyther crossed his blades and hit Roxan directly on the forehead. Roxan stood her ground against the attack, refusing to waver.

Roxan looked the Scyther dead in the eyes and smiled, "That all you got, buttercup?"

The Scyther looked shocked at the effect his attack. Or lack thereof. Persephone took the opportunity to summon up a ring of cool water around herself. Roxan on the other hand, went straight for the offensive and retaliated with grabbing the Scyther with her mental powers, sending him flying against a tree.

"Remember! Don't kill him!" Persephone said, feeling the need to reinforce the previous rule.

"Yes mooooom!" Roxan countered the comment. As she finished her sentence, she summoned up several small fires around herself. The Scyther opened his eyes from the previous impact. He got up and his wings began to glow. He looked towards Roxan and began to beat his wings rapidly, sending out blades of air towards her. Roxan quickly summoned a wall of light in front of her, blocking the majority of the blades.

"Seems he’s got a liking for you!" Persephone mocks.

Roxan strikes the vaporeon a sharp gaze as she feels a large impact plummeting into her. Persephone sees her partner getting hit by the pursuit of the Scyther and rushes over to help. As soon as Roxan and the Scyther are apart, Persephone shoots out steaming water from her mouth that splashes onto the Scyther's face.

"Ow! God damn it that burns!" The Scyther screeches. He falls to his knees in pain. Once he’s able, he looks up to see Roxan standing over him.

"You're going to regret that, buttercup." Roxan's mouth was glowing with red and orange as small flames escaped her mouth.

"I-I give! I give!" The Scyther pleaded as he bowed at the fox. But Roxan only opened her mouth wider. As she flames started to erupt from her mouth, a wash of hot water washed over her entire body.

"The hell did I just say, Roxan!?" Persephone snapped as she approached the two pokemon. "Get out of here before I change my mind."

The Scyther thanked Persephone several times before fleeing into the forest. Persephone then looks over at Roxan, whom was shivering with a very pissed off expression. She smiled, knowing that nothing she said could amount this this gem of humiliation. She struts past Roxan towards the path onward. Roxan follows her reluctantly. As the two of them keep walking, Roxan dripping wet, Persephone takes a step and sinks into the ground. She looks down to see some tubes shoot up. She jumps forward, away from the tubes before they could go off. Roxan, however, followed Persephone’s steps and walked straight into the trap with a confused look about her. Before she could say a word, she found herself engulfed in bright flames. Persephone looked up to see her partner in the burning fire trap. After the fire stopped spewing, Roxan appeared, looking quite happy and dry.

"That is just what the doctor fucking ordered!" Roxan said, shaking the soot off and having her fluffy fur go back to normal.

"Yeah, we're lucky it was fire...This time. We'd better watch out for other traps that are more dangerous." Persephone said, raising to her feet. As she rose, Roxan just strutted past her in an attempt to mimic how Persephone acted prior.

While Roxan was in the front, there was barely anything happening from then on. Eventually, the trees began to thin. The end must have been near. The two looked at one another, both with the same look in their eyes. They increased pace as they ran to where the trees stopped. But before they could get there, Roxan stopped. She noticed something in a clearing through the bushes. As Roxan stared, Persephone approached her,

"What are you looking at?" She questioned.

"You see that?" Roxan pointed at an Escavalier in the clearing. He seemed to be setting up a trap in the clearing, unaware of the two pokemon spying on him in the bushes. Roxan had a smile cross her face then, but not one of her normal ones. Oh no, this was one of her smiles that mean trouble was about to be erupt. Roxan started to sneak around the bushes towards him. Persephone tried her best to stop the fox, but she was too far away to have any chance of stopping her without drawing the attention of the armored insect. She growled quietly and stayed crouched in the bushes as she watched her partner’s foolish pursuit. As Roxan got behind the bug, she was now exposed in the clearing. However, she was still undetected by the bug. Once she was right behind him, her mouth began to glow and fire erupted from her mouth straight on the Escavalier's butt. He let out a large scream. As he turned he saw Roxan rolling on the ground laughing at his humiliation. His lances began to glow, as he stabbed the fox's tail. Just at that moment, she stopped her laughing and looked up to see a stripped lance hurling towards her head. She moved he head just in the nick of time, as a glimpse of red and white flashed past her face and impacted the ground next to her head. At that moment, there was just one thought that crosses her mind.

"Oh shit."

Roxan struggles to get free before the Escavalier could free his lance. As she struggled, Persephone shouted out,

"SUMMON YOUR SCREEN!"

Roxan reacted immediately. A wave of water blasted over the two Roxan and the Escavalier, causing the bug to release his grip and be pushed away from the fox. Roxan was not as well off. Although the impact of the surf was weakened, it still did some damage. She struggled to raise herself up, but found herself being picked up by Persephone. As Persephone picked up the small fox, she turned tail and ran towards the end of the forest.

"You're a fucking moron!" Persephone snaps at her weakened partner. Persephone ran as fast as she could, but saw that the Escavalier was gaining on her tail. All she could think about was the path ahead, how once they got past the trees, they were safe. As she ran, she broke past the clearing to see the finish line, the flag waving welcomingly from across a river. Persephone stopped for a split second, contemplating the most efficient way to cross it, but she quickly started back as the sound of the Escavalier behind her. As the two neared the river, ready to jump, the Escavalier erupted from the forest right behind them. Sinbad was watching this, ready to jump in at any second to stop this. As our two foxes reached the edge of the water, Persephone jumped. Her scales glistened beautifully in the light of sun. As she jumped, Roxan fell. Persephone landed in the river's water, Roxan on the bank of the river. Persephone looked back at her partner,

"Roxan!"

Roxan looked up to see the Escavalier's Lances raised at her. She looked at him as the lances came down, she opened her mouth to fire out an eruption of flames. The Escavalier closed his eyes at the fire's head as he sent down his lance. It hit. He opened his eyes to see that the little yellow fox was gone. He looked up to the fox jumping into the river's flow. He looked on as the fox swam across the wide river in an attempt to get to the safety on the other side. Roxan, struggling to stay above water, paddled her way through the river. With every stroke, the weight of the water burrowed into her. It chilled her. The water slowly crept over her vision as she swam. Before she went under, she saw a black blob racing to her. She closed her eyes. When she opened them, she saw Persephone above her, just her. There were other around her, but all she could see was her partner. Her blue skin was wet, glistening. Shining. Shimmers of purple and aqua glimmered from her beautiful, smooth scales. Once she finally regained herself, she noticed Sinbad on her side. She looked over to him.

"You got guts, you know. But you're too reckless, fox. Listen to your partner more." Sinbad stated.

Roxan just looked back at her partner, who was looking back at her with a worried face about her.

"Are you alright, Roxan?" Persephone asked.

There was a pause from the fox before she whispered, "...That was fucking fun." Roxan smiled.

Persephone just stared at Roxan with completely unamused by that comment. She rose her paw and struck Roxan's head. Roxan recoiled and grabbed her head at the pain.

"Ow ow ow ow!" Roxan whimpered.

"You're fucking hopeless." Persephone sighed.
