Maybe it's just me, but I like the way this angle came out. It's never been a simple task drawing Godzilla or any Toho monster from the ground up. Honestly though, I'd still prefer doing that than sitting down to a homework assignment from my school.... *s i g h* Oh well.

For those of you who may not be familiar with the Japanese Heisei series of Godzilla films, Biollante is a combination of Godzilla's regenarative cells and a rosebush. It grows to a towering height (120 meters) when the G-cells take over the plant and start the mutation cycle. Biollante is initially not a bad creature as it houses a human soul, but it certainly proves itself one mean green machine as its razor-sharp thorned tendrils and acidous radioactive sap bring Godzilla down for the count. What's really interesting about Biollante as an opponent is that, as one character in the film notes, she and Godzilla are both genetically made from the same identical cells. They are essentially both one and the same monster.
