I should have done this a reeeeally long time ago, but better late than never, I guess. When I changed my username and decided to reinvent my account about a year ago, I also decided to retire my old fursona and make a new one. And here she is, finally! She's not very different from my old one, but I feel like her design is better thought out and more accurate to fox anatomy. I added some markings to my original idea for her, but still kept it pretty simple. This makes my watermark inconsistent with the actual character, but I'm not gonna worry about it. Maybe I'll fix the watermark later if i feel like it, but I don't think it matters too much.

Anyway, now I will be able to commission art of her, so I'm really excited! I'm especially hoping to get a cute animated icon from somewhere, and maybe a pagedoll or two. My page is gonna look so cute eventually! ^_^ I just need to get money and/or points first, so I better finish those darn adoptables already because it's gonna take a lot of them to make a decent amount of points. I will try to make them better quality with each batch so I can ask more for them as I go. Well, that's enough about this; I still have to tell you about my fursona!

Here is some info about this character, although I don't think I've completely decided on everything and might change/add stuff later:

Name: Amane (which I believe is pronounced AH-ma-ne; also, it's Japanese and means "sound of heaven," my username)

Nickname(s): Ammy, Ammie (I don't know which spelling I like better, but the first is the same as Amaterasu from Okami, so the second is an alternative)

Gender: Female

Species: Red Fox/Kitsune

Age: Unknown. She is an adult, but she is half kitsune and they are immortal, so she ages slowly. She seems to be somewhere around the equivalent of mid to late 20's, but no one is exactly sure.

Abilities: As half-kitsune, Amane and her litter mates inherited some odd abilities from their father's side of the family that surprise and confuse their poor mother. Aside from some of the usual kitsune powers, the kits ended up with individual abilities like levitation or teleportation, in the case of the two eldest siblings. Amane's abilities, however, tend to have to do with sound.

Shapeshifting - A normal kitsune power. Amane can take on a variety of different forms and is learning new ones all the time. She mainly uses her fox form, with human, werefox, and bird being the next most frequently used. I will draw some of her other forms on a separate sheet later.

Foxfire - A normal kitsune power. Amane can summon a colorful flame to protect herself in emergencies.

Musical Talent - An individual ability. Amane can play practically any instrument she tries, even if she has to work at it a while first. Her main instrument is the clarinet and she is also fond of handbells. She can sing, although she's hesitant to do so where people, especially strangers, can hear. She deeply loves music and has a tendency to hear it even in everyday sounds.

Sound Manipulation - An individual ability. Somehow, Amane is able to manipulate the sounds around her. She mainly uses this ability to allow herself to move about in total silence, even while wearing a necklace covered with bells. This is a very good thing for a fox who wants to remain undetected while hunting or snooping where she shouldn't. However, she can also amplify sounds, such as making her bark louder to the point that it will startle and temporarily deafen an enemy and allow her to get away. She can even make sound sharper or flatter. Amane probably hasn't even figured out half of what she can do with this ability.

Mimicry - Like a mockingbird, Amane can mimic sounds she hears: bird calls, animal sounds, and a million other things, even human voices. She can throw her voice as well.

Personality: Amane can be a bit shy around new people or situations, and like any fox she is very cautious. However, once she becomes more comfortable and knows she is safe, she can allow her true self to come out. She is loyal and friendly to those she trusts and can be very energetic and silly at times. She likes to get all her friends involved in singing and playing music with her. She's also curious and not opposed to adventure as long as she doesn't have to rush into it headlong without any preparation.
