Oh, wow, Airachnid's arms play a bigger role in her spider form, and more detailed spider legs, too. And she's got a short-sword integrated into her robot-mode arms? EXCELLENT! No laser blasters, though? I guess they were exchanged for the swords.
I also nearly mistook Airachnid's avatar to be some sort of bug girl from one of those KAMEN RIDER series from Japan. Now I have to say the hair sticks and "head piece" suit her just fine.

They're parts of her full Cybertronian alt-mode, she lost part of it like the spider-mode head and arms when adopting a bike mode as she's not a triple changer and her T-cog can't hold the transformation instructions for more than one complete Alt-mode. So she had to loose her original Alt mode to compensate for the new one.
I don't recall the normal Airachnid ever transforming her arm into a blaster, didn't it just fire out of her web shooters?

Well her toy (the really flimsy one) came with attachable null rays, but no the only blasters she had were integrated into her hands, and were basically the same as her palm web shooters. After reading your stats for her and saw she didn't have any lasers, I guess she either didn't have any, or she got rid of them when coming to Earth.
I don't really much about older KAMEN RIDER series, but their heroines usually dressed in either ladybug or bumblebee-styled costumes, which his where her hair stakes came in I guess.

Oh I see, I forgot about them (I only use them on mine when I've got her in helicopter mode they look a bit oversized for the robot mode!). Yeah she never had them, the web shooters are enough to incapacitate an enemy, perhaps more effectively than a simple laser blast as those just seem to bounce off the armour half the time!

Well beast formers are rare but not unheard of on Cybertron, with Insecticons being the most common form of beast-former on the planet. Contact with Eukaris was lost during the rust plagues, so it's status is unknown to the modern Cybertronian commonwealth partly because no one wants to try to find it again because the virus might still be active there.
In terms of their status on the caste system, it depends on the usefulness of their alt-mode, while generally ranking below manual castes, a flying beast-former would be given status similar to a Seeker or other low speed flyer similarly a beast-former who might be particularly well suited to digging would be lumped in with the mining castes etc. Symbiotic beast-formers like ravage are generally not seen as being fully sapient so would be classified as pets.
Insecticons are somewhat independent of it because they nearly all hail from Corumkan, which is a city that Keeps itself distant from the rest of Cybertronian society and is controlled by the Insecticon Queen, by outside of their city they would be treated much the same as any other beast former.

During/after the war? The preducice still exists to some extent, Moreso amongst those on the Autobot side as, as a lot of beast formers joined the Decepticons (most notably almost the entire Insecticon hive) so it gets mixed in with the dislike of their old enemies.
