Hi, everybody! Dakaueze here, and today we're going to talk about another Cybertronian relic: the Matrix of Leadership, which will be referred by its original name from the Marvel comic book "Creation Matrix". The design for the Beyondverse Matrix is based off of the Matrices from Transformers Animated and Transformers Prime respectively.

Name: The Creation Matrix of Leadership
Rough Age: c. 10 Billion Stellar Cycles

Overview:

The Creation Matrix of Leadership is a computer program within a crystal form encased in a hollow metal shell with a handle on either side, which is traditionally held by the Prime, the supreme commander of Cybertron. The Creation Matrix has the power to bestow new Cybertronian life and provide its wielder with a means of communicating with the deceased leaders who have come before them.

According to religious legend, the crystal core of the Creation Matrix was created from Solomus, the Transformer god of wisdom, trapped in the form of a crystal by Unicron the Chaos-Bringer. However, most interpretations of the Transformer creation myth see it being created after Primus's and Unicron's battle. Scriptures from the Keening Texts say that when becoming the core of Cybertron, Primus created a "Primal Program" dubbed the Creation Matrix of Leadership by compressing multiple photonic crystals together. After that, he gave the Creation Matrix to the Thirteen Primes to share its divine power before going into hibernation. It was said when giving the Prime Pastoral, Prima, the very first Transformer, held the Matrix in his hand, saying to his followers "this Creation Matrix will represent our freedom and it will be the right of all sentient beings!"

The containment vessel for the Creation Matrix would then be forged by Solus Prime with her Forge.

After the fall of the Thirteen Primes, the Creation Matrix would be passed down to the next Prime whenever a Prime falls in battle, dies from old age, or resigns themselves from office. Septimus Prime would be the first 'mortal' Cybertronian to wield the Creation Matrix, and then subsequently Regulus Prime, Sentinella Prime, Orionis Prime, Akiba Prime, Trichoto Prime, Alritimus Prime, Amazon Prime, Primon/Alpha Prime, Nova Prime, Guardian Prime, Zeta Prime, Nominus Prime, Sentinel Prime, and in the modern day, Optimus Prime, and later in the not-too distant future, Rodimus Prime.

Those who are capable of bearing the Creation Matrix within them are marked by certain signs of affinity: having optics the same shade of "liberty blue" as the Matrix Flame, finding sentio metallico wet to the touch, becoming giddy when standing on a hot spot, and the ability to make a photonic crystal "when" placed in their chest. Among those with signs of affinity is Thunderwing, who is the only known Decepticon with a natural affinity for the Creation Matrix.

To this day, Optimus Prime is the current wielder of the Creation Matrix of Leadership as the last Prime, believing that the Creation Matrix will light the Autobots' darkest hour....
